CIÊNCIA & TECNOLOGIA AGROPECUÁRIA NA AMAZÔNIA: Uma análise institucional de sua adequação às dinâmicas reais

Resumo

O artigo verifica a adequação das atividades de C&T à dinâmica real da agropecuária na Amazônia pela observação de indicadores de convergência entre a estrutura da produção técnico-científica do CPATU e a composição do valor da produção das culturas acompanhadas pelo IBGE na região. A partir daí são dados dois passos analíticos: uma comparação com as tendências das mesmas variáveis para todo o Brasil mostra uma convergência bem menor na Amazônia do que em todo o país; uma análise institucional procura demonstrar os fundamentos dessa performance. Num terceiro momento, tenta-se demonstrar as possibilidades presentes de mudança desse quadro.

SCIENCE AND AGRICULTURAL TECHNOLOGY IN AMAZON REGION:
AN INSTITUTIONAL ANALYSIS AND ITS ADAPTATION TO DYNAMIC REALITY

ABSTRACT
The article verifies the adaptation of the activities of Science & Technology to the real dynamics of the agriculture and cattle ranching in Amazon through convergence indicators among the structure of the scientific-technical production of CPATU and the composition of the productions value of the products estimated by the IBGE in the Region. Starting from this two analytic steps are taken: a comparison with the tendencies of the same variables in Brazil as a whole shows a very small convergence with Amazon region; an institutional analysis tries to demonstrate the reason of this performance. In a third moment it shows the present possibilities of change in this tendency.
