GRUPOS SOCIAIS E DESEMPENHO DAS ORGANIZAÇÕES DE PESQUISA AGROPECUÁRIA

Resumo

Com o objetivo de examinar as relações entre a organização de pesquisa agropecuária, especificamente a da EMBRAPA, e a sociedade, delineou-se o presente estudo nos seguintes tópicos: relacionamento entre organizações e sociedade, em geral; discussão dos objetivos declarados da EMBRAPA e a interface com os grupos de interesse; análise dos elos de ligação entre a EMBRAPA e os grupos de interesse e análise dos resultados e sua influência no desempenho da organização. Concluindo, recomenda-se à EMBRAPA: elevar a qualidade da pesquisa; levar, sistematicamente, ao conhecimento público os benefícios produzidos por suas pesquisas; fortificar os elos entre a pesquisa e sua aplicação com benefícios econômicos; e ampliar a análise sobre os processos de intensificação de temas prioritários de pesquisa, sobre a propriedade das soluções geradas pelos resultados e sobre a difusão desses resultados.

SOCIAL GROUPS AND PERFORMANCE OF AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH ORGANIZATIONS
ABSTRACT
This paper aims to examine the relations between agricultural research organization, especifically that of Empresa Brasileira de Pespuisa Agropecuária - EMBRAPA. It was framed in the following topics: relationship between organizations and society in general; discussion of the declared objectives of EMBRAPA and of the interface with the group interested in; analysis of the linkages between EMBRAPA and the results and its effects on the organization performance. Some suggestions are made in order to improve the research quality; to carry about systematically to the public knowledge the benefits offered from its research; to strengthen the links between research and its application with economic returns; to deepen the analyses for the intensification processes of priorities of research, on the rights of the results attained, and on the diffusion of these results.
