Resumo

Analisa a produção científica de duas revistas publicadas pela SBPC (Sociedade Brasileira para o Progresso da Ciência) Ciência e Cultura e Ciência Hoje sobre a relação entre agricultura e meio ambiente no Brasil, no período de 1972 (Eco 72) a 1992 (Eco 92). Discute como a comunidade científica brasileira se reportou ao tema, concentrando-se nos seguintes aspectos: o enfoque adotado, a temática enfatizada e as áreas de conhecimento que se destacam no período em estudo.

THE BRAZILIAN SOCIETY FOR THE PROGRESS OF SCIENCE (SBPC) AND THE SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH ON AGRICULTURE AND ENVIRONMENT (1972-1992)
ABSTRACT
This article analyses the scientific production of two scientific magazines "Ciência e Cultura" and "Ciência Hoje" in terms of the relationship between agriculture and environment in Brazil, in the period from 1972 ("Eco 72") to 1992 ("Eco 92"). The objective is to analyse what the Brazilian scientific community has published in this area, concentrating on the following aspects: the approach, the thematic emphasized and the knowledge areas that stand out during the period of study.
